If you've ever driven along Interstate 77 from North Carolina into the state of Virginia, you know how treacherous of a drive it can be, especially when you get near the mountains. But after a multi-vehicle crash consumed a large section of the interstate a few days ago, now the rest of the country knows just how dangerous this interstate can be.
A man was arrested for drunk driving after hitting a motorcycle and causing a third vehicle to crash into the accident scene. The accident happened early Sunday morning just after 1 a.m. at the Edenton Street and West Street intersection, according to the Raleigh police. The driver of the vehicle that crashed into the motorcycle has been charged with DWI. The driver of the third vehicle involved and the motorcyclist were both taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.
