5-car crash kills 2 people in North Carolina

A five-car accident in North Carolina has killed a 44-year-old man and a 73-year-old woman. The crash occurred on Nov. 29 when the 44-year-old man's SUV veered into oncoming traffic and struck four other vehicles. Police have indicated that speed was a factor in the crash that also injured two other drivers.

3 killed, 8 injured in 6-vehicle crash in North Carolina

An Oct. 30 traffic accident involving a semi-truck and five passenger vehicles inflicted immense damage, killing three individuals and injuring eight others. According to law enforcement officials, the multi-vehicle collision happened in a construction zone on the northbound lanes of U.S 52 near the Westinghouse Road exit.

According to members of the North Carolina Highway Patrol, a two-vehicle collision claimed the life of a 62-year-old Lumberton woman on Oct. 23 around 3:40 p.m. The accident occurred when the woman was reportedly struck head-on by a car driving in the opposite direction.

North Carolina couple killed in two-vehicle collision

An Oct. 1 auto accident near Skinner's Bypass in Lenoir County killed an octogenarian couple and hospitalized two other people, according the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. The accident happened when the couple's vehicle, a Honda, was attempting to pull out of the parking lot of a business located next to the highway and collided with a black Dodge pickup truck.

North Carolina accident kills 1 teen, injures 7 others

On Sept. 14 at around 1:35 a.m., a 17-year-old driving a pickup truck hit a ditch on Highway 130 in Supply. Three teens were riding in the bed of the truck, and the driver had four other teens inside of the vehicle with him. According to reports, officials transported the driver and all passengers to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

Teenager killed in front of fast-food restaurant

An accident in North Carolina's claimed the life of a teenage motorcyclist on Sept. 1. The accident occurred in front of a drive-thru fast-food restaurant in Jacksonville. The driver of a 2014 Hyundai from Cary, who failed to yield the right of way to the biker and caused the accident, faces charges of unsafe movement of a vehicle resulting in injury and misdemeanor death by a motor vehicle. His court date was set for Oct. 15.
